The Postdoc Advisory Council brings together faculty, staff, and postdoctoral representatives to advise the Postdoctoral Affairs Office on programs, policies, and priorities that support Lehigh’s postdoctoral community.

Objectives

The Postdoctoral Advisory Council (PAC) provides guidance to the Postdoctoral Affairs Office on policies and initiatives that impact postdoctoral scholars. The committee's key responsibilities include:

  • Advising on policies related to postdoc salaries, benefits, and mentoring expectations.
  • Advocating for postdoc needs within departments and university leadership.
  • Guiding professional development programming to align with postdocs' career goals.
  • Facilitating connections between postdocs and faculty mentors.
  • Evaluating the impact of postdoc office initiatives and identifying gaps in support.
  • Providing feedback on postdoc training, mentoring, and the overall postdoctoral experience.
     

Through these efforts, ensures that postdoctoral scholars receive the resources and support needed for career advancement and success.
