Postdoc Orientation

We're pleased to offer a two-part orientation series—Pre-Arrival and Post-Arrival —to support you before and after you arrive. You’re welcome to attend both, and you can join more than once if you’d like.
 

Pre-Arrival Orientation

The Pre-Arrival Orientation focuses on everything you can do before coming to campus. This session is highly recommended, especially for international postdocs, as it provides an overview of your key contacts, your Lehigh Identification number (LIN), activating your Lehigh email, forms to complete, and housing and transportation. There will be time for Q&A. If the scheduled time doesn’t work for your time zone, let us know, and we’ll arrange a session for you.

Post-Arrival Orientation

The Post-Arrival Orientation is for postdocs who have arrived in Bethlehem. This session provides a complete roadmap to help you settle smoothly into your new postdoc role at Lehigh.  We’ll review essential onboarding steps and introduce you to university structures, research support, and professional development opportunities. You will also learn about employment policies for postdocs, key health and wellness resources, conflict resolution support, and ways to connect with fellow postdocs through the Lehigh Postdoc Association.
